Where it All Started
After graduating from Park Hill High School in 1998, Patrick of Parkville began building the foundation for a highly successful lawn, landscape, and outdoor living company. Patrick’s dedication, commitment, and hard work at his new business became a way of life. Based on those important principles, Patrick started and grew one of the most respected lawn, landscape, and outdoor living companies in Kansas City.
The Groundwork of a Premium Lawn & Landscaping Company
In 2009, Patrick Vogt knew he needed to take his business to the next level. He made the decision to purchase Rainbow Irrigation, which helped solidify By The Blade as a complete lawn and landscaping company. Since the early years, we have partnered with some of the best vendors in lawn care to ensure that we only use the highest quality products for our projects.
Over time, our lawn and landscape business has evolved, and we are far more than a company that mows and weed eats. We now help design and create ultimate outdoor living areas for our valued customers. Our outdoor living expertise was recognized from 2012-2016 as By The Blade was selected to be the Kansas City Symphony Showhouse outdoor landscape design provider.

When Patrick is not helping his amazing customers with the lawn, landscape, and outdoor living space needs, he is likely spending time with his family in Parkville. He is married to his wife Lindsay, a civil engineer, and together they have four beautiful children.
